Internship Info:
(Advanced Public Speaking in lieu of spring semester internship)
Previous Internship: United Nations High Commissioner for Refuees: Policy Coordinator Intern. Created 43 reports synthesizing and analyzing resolutions, background notes, meetings, etc.
Why the Civic Engagement Track:
Civic engagement is integral for a functioning society, harmonizing the way of life of many people. In order for us to shape this society to be beneficial for ourselves and people less advantaged than ourselves, we must recognize our liberties and privileges and use them. Writing is not only a tool we can all utilize to explain our points of view in society but also a professionally essential skill.
Favorite Aspect of UCSB:
The variety of opportunities available for students is so impressive. At UCSB, I did activities from a professional business fraternity, to hosting my own radio show, to an entrepreneurship competition mentored by some of the most successful business owners in Santa Barbara.
Post-Graduation Plans:
I will be applying for law school in September and continuing to build a start-up I created at UCSB. I have prospects in both Refugee Law and Entrepreneurship. Either way, I know my cause will be for the humanitarian good.
