How I want to make an impact in the world: Writing stories of strength from the front lines of world conflicts. Or participate directly... either with the U.S. military or Foreign Service. Why I chose the Professional Writing Minor: I wanted to improve my writing skills and validate my skill as a writer to potential employers. My most memorable moment at UCSB: I have had too many memorable moments here... from organizing great LARPing battles in Isla Vista to "pirate sailing" in the SB Harbor to spearfishing off Campus Point to running around in an Army uniform with the ROTC "Surfrider" Battalion early in the mornings. THIS PLACE IS JUST TOO FUN!!! What I will miss the most about UCSB: Surfing incredible waves in my own backyard with my fellow Gauchos! |
INTERNSHIP
Nik is interning with the Eric Greitens for Governor campaign, which is currently happening in Missouri.
As an intern he conducts research on potential donors, strategies of political opponents, and compile bios on key partners that the campaign works with. He will be going to St. Louis, Missouri, after graduation to work directly with the campaign until elections in November. |
