Major(s)/Minor(s) Major in Ethno-musicology, Minor in Professional Writing Internship For my internship, I worked with Isla Vista Surfrider as our local chapter's lead Concert Coordinator. Basically, I was the head honcho for the production and promotion of IV Surfrider's annual Concert for the Coast, an event which brings Isla Vista together for a day of music, environmental education and more.
Post-Graduation Plans After I graduate I plan on writing, reading, playing music, hiking, white-water rafting, sleeping in cars and couches, cooking good food, thinking, working hard, surfing, rock-climbing and more I'm sure.
Why I chose the Civic Engagement Track: Civic engagement seemed like a good fit for me because of my interest in activism via music. Honing my writing skills is something I want to continue to work on.
My most memorable moments at UCSB were: My highlights from UCSB include, but are not limited to, playing on UCSB"s D-1 Ultimate Frisbee team: Black Tide, playing house shows in a variety of musical groups across the years including Scotty Do and the Don'ts, The Don'ts, West of Malbay, Hot Loads of Jazz and solo, joining Isla Vista Surfrider and channeling my passions for music and environmental conservation and making life-long friends.
