Major in Communication, Minor in Professional Writing Internship Advanced Public Speaking Course Post-Graduation Plans I will work as a full-time associate recruiter in a Recruitment Firm, specializing in pharmaceutical positions. Why I chose the Civic Engagement Track: I always knew that I wanted to be a writing minor; however, it wasn't until November 2016 that I realized my desire to emphasize in Civic Engagement. The results of the 2016 election sparked a desire to be more vocal in my activism. I have a lot of layers of privilege intertwined in my identity, and I knew that I wanted to learn how to use my privileged voice to speak on behalf of those who are not afforded the same privileges. I chose Civic Engagement because I knew that it would give me the tools to use my voice in a political realm. My most memorable moments at UCSB were: The highlights from my last four years at UCSB revolve around the relationships that I built here. My favorite thing about college is the different identities and ideas that I have been exposed to. The people at this university have made my experience as excellent as it has been. |
