Internship for Writing Minor:
Development Intern, SEE International
Why the Civic Engagement Track:
Elevating political discourse is incredibly important to me. Although I’ve been involved in local politics since my freshman year at UCSB, I struggled to express my thoughts and opinions in a productive way. The Civic Engagement Track equips students with the tools to communicate their passions in op-eds, explainer pieces, and policy briefs. In the capstone courses, I explored an issue that I care deeply about and grew as a writer and an advocate.
Favorite Aspect of UCSB:
I will miss most our beautiful campus, especially looking out the library windows to an ocean view. I will also miss seeing my talented and bright friends every day. UCSB is truly unique in that almost everyone lives just a mile away from their best friends. I will miss that convenience and the close relationships formed with help from the geography of UCSB and Isla Vista.
Post-Graduation Plans:
After graduation, I will move back home to the Bay Area to search for a job in politics and hopefully work on a midterm election campaign.
