Post-Graduation Plans Next year, I plan to attend Columbia University for a Master of Arts in Climate and Society. After that, I hope to attend law school, in pursuit of becoming an environmental lawyer.
Why I chose the Civic Engagement Track: I was drawn to the civic engagement track because I am interested in political as well as social activism. I also wanted to improve my skills writing outside of purely academic disciplines.
My most memorable moments at UCSB were: I started my freshman year with FSSP, and then I joined a sorority, where I later held the position of Scholarship Director. I also studied abroad in London and Paris for spring and summer of my junior year. Senior year, I was selected to be a student speaker at TEDxUCSB, where I gave a talk titled, "Mother Earth: 'Me Too'". Throughout senior year, I have also been authoring a senior thesis in the Environmental Studies Program, which analyzes the impact of environmental regulation on economic growth in developing countries around the world.
