What I plan to do after graduation:
I am moving to DC to intern at Brookings Institution's foreign policy program, looking for a job in NGOs or government and eventually going to graduate school in international affairs!
How I want to make an impact:
Work on building a more progressive, sustainable and humanitarian U.S. foreign policy on issues of forced migration, human rights and conflict resolution.
Why I chose the Professional Writing Minor:
To learn how to apply valuable non-academic writing skills to professional spaces.
My most memorable moment at UCSB:
Participating in the Taubman Symposium's "Mock Negotiations" program with David Makovsky and Ghaith Al Omari.
What I will miss the most about UCSB:
Salty air, biking to class, and the IV Food Co-op. But most of all, the people!!

Along with her publicity and programming assistance duties that entail her paid job at the MCC, she is working on a organizational video report project to do a deeper analysis of how students of color and other marginalized groups benefit from the MCC.
