Major(s)/Minor(s)
Major in English, Minor in Professional Writing Internship I am enrolled in the Public Speaking course. Post-Graduation Plans I look forward to a legal education and my return to help uplift our communities of Los Angeles. Perhaps I am meant to do this, perhaps my experiences and intellectual curiosity have nudged me toward this path, but making justice equal in an unjust world is my calling. My role as a Latino in higher education entails grappling with long term issues around social justice and socio-economic equity, so that I can devise a solution that affect not just my community, but America at large. Why I chose the Civic Engagement Track: I chose this track primarily because I am most passionate about civic issues, law, and organization. I have spent the last four years cultivating my ability to write professionally and think critically about civic issues. I am very interested in being able to communicate effectively through writing to benefit an organization or a larger cause and I feel that this particular emphasis of the minor has given me just that. My most memorable moments at UCSB were: My time at UCSB has been absolutely amazing I feel that words cannot begin to describe. In various aspects I have grown both personally and professionally. I have also met very driven and inspiring individuals from all walks of life who are ready to take on the world. To be quite frank, my experience here has been everything I could have ever wanted, and more. |
