Hannah ToutounchiMajor: Global Studies
While at UCSB: I was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity for three years and served as the Public Relations Chairman, in which I wrote and designed the current website (ucsbkkg.org) and also received a regional award (Marian Williams-Mitch Pflugh Public Relations Award), recognizing a PR officer's contributions to her chapter. Throughout my college education, I've made it a point to focus my writings on women's issues. I wrote a portion of a 60 page grant proposal in my Writing for Global Careers class; it discussed the trafficking and forced prostitution of girls and women in Thailand. I presented it at the UCSB Undergrad Research Colloquium and won in Collaborative Professional Writing. Additionally, I wrote for the Daily Nexus, Hercampus.com, and was a member of the UCSB Ski and Snowboarding club. After Graduation: I hope to keep my career path focused on community outreach, global topics, writing, and PR, as these are aspects that enriched my college experience and complement my own personal interests. I also plan to travel around the Middle East and North Africa spring of 2015 to deepen my understanding of the topics I explored as a student.
